Troubleshooting

General

Problem

Solution

I cannot use an Ethernet
hub to connect the KA9233
to the matrix KVM switch.

Although Cat 5 cable is used to connect the KA9233
Console Module to the matrix KVM switch, it does not
support the Ethernet protocol; thus, you cannot use an
Ethernet hub to connect them.

I can’t login to the matrix
KVM switch.

1. Make sure that the power adapter cable is plugged

into the KA9233 and connected to an AC mains power
source.

2. Make sure that the keyboard is connected and func-

tioning properly.

1. Make sure that the Cat 5 cable is connected to the

LINK port on the KA9233 and to a user port on the
matrix KVM switch.

2. Verify that the KM0832 firmware is version 1.2.114 or

higher. If not, upgrade the KM0832 firmware to ver-
sion 1.2.114 or higher.
