Equipment maintenance
Cleaning
Once a week inspect the inlet air filter as well as the outlet
window.
The inlet filter, on the cover, may be taken off by means of
a screwdriver or similar tool doing raise between the filter
and the cover: before doing any operation switch off the
external circuit breaker provided to remove the main from
the equipment.
In case the equipment needs to be cleaned then proceed as
follow:
- switch off the external circuit breaker or whatever device
provided to remove main from the equipment;
- remove the main connector CONN#1 by rotating counter-
clockwise the external ring then pull it;
- remove cover
- remove dust with dry air
- reinstall cover: tighten all the screws
- plug the connector CONN#1: push the plug into the socket,
rotate clockwise the ring
Fuses replacement
To replace the power board fuse proceed as follow:
- switch off the external circuit breaker or whatever device
provided to remove main from the equipment;
- remove the main connector CN1 by rotating counter-
clockwise the external ring then pull it;
- remove the cover;
- locate the interface board M284: see drawing next page
pos.9;
- locate the fuse on the interface board;
- replace the fuse with a new one with the same electrical
characteristics;
- install the cover;
- plug the connector CN1: push the plug into the socket,
- For the fuse value see page 4.
Operations sequence
- Select mode (continuous/pulsed)
- If pulsed, then select wether internal or external source and activate it.
- Set the RESET signal Off (Pin4 CONN#3)
- Set Off the signals:
POWER STAGE ON (Pin1 CONN#3),
HIGH VOLTAGE ON (Pin2 CONN#3),
MICROWAVE ON (Pin3 CONN#3)
- Supply the GM through external device (main on CONN#1)
Wait for signal MW MODULE IS READY (Pin 19 CONN#3) to raise
The READY led turns on
- Set On the signal POWER STAGE ON (Pin1 CONN#3)
The signal POWER STAGE ON IS ACTIVATED (Pin17 CONN#3) goes on
- Set ON the signal HIGH VOLTAGE ON (Pin2 CONN#3)
The HIGH VOLTAGE ON led turns on
Wait at least 5 seconds
- Set ON the signal MICROWAVE ON (Pin3 CONN#3)
The MICROWAVE ON led turns on
The signal MICROWAVE IS ACTIVATED (Pin16 CONN#3) goes on
Now microwaves are generated in the selected mode
- Stop and start microwaves with the MICROWAVE ON (Pin3 CONN#3) signal.
- Select the power desired using the analog signal SET VALUE FOR MW POWER (Pin 1-2 CONN#2).
- At the end of job no special turn off sequence is needed to switch off the GM.
