Song shuffle randomly plays back songs within a selected
category (playlist, album, etc.). The songs within the category
are played just once until all songs have been played.

All songs in the current Bank are played back in random
sequence. Any one song does not play back again until all songs
have been played back.

All songs in the current folder are played back in random
sequence. Any one song does not play back again until all songs
have been played back.

All songs in the USB Memory are played back in random
sequence. Any one song does not play back again until all songs
have been played back.

To cancel M.I.X. play, select (off) with the above procedure.
Notes
• When a song is played back during Random (M.I.X.) play in the USB
mode, the song can be played back again randomly even if not all songs
in the current Bank or USB Memory have been played back.
• During M.I.X. play, setting repeat play to ON will cancel the M.I.X.
play.
• During repeat play, etc., the track number display for M.I.X. play may
be incorrect.
Select Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/
Composer/Folder
Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/Composer/Folder can be easily changed.
For example, if you listen to a song from a selected album, the album can
be changed.

to select the desired Playlist/Artist/Album/
Genre/Composer/Folder.
Notes
• If the song search mode was used to select a song, this function is
inactive.
• If an album is selected during an artist search, other albums by that
artist are searchable.
• This function is inactive during M.I.X. ALL/M.I.X. Song playback.
• This function is inactive during RPT ALBUM/RPT ARTIST playback.
Alphabet Search Function (Tag search mode
only)
Quickly find an artist, album, etc. by the first letter in its title or name.

During Tag search mode, press

Alphabet Search function.

to select the
desired initial letter (e.g. select “M”), and then press
ENTER

A list which begins with the selected initial letter is searched.

to select the desired item (which
begins with initial letter “M”), and then press
ENTER

The item is selected.
Notes
• The Alphabet Search Function is only applicable to English alphabetic
characters.
• Characters not readable by the head unit cannot be searched.
• If the Song search mode is activated in Playlist search, this function is
invalid.
Quick Search
You can search for a song from all songs in current bank of USB
Memory without selecting an album, artist, etc.

Press and hold
ENTER
for at least 2 seconds to activate
Quick Search mode.

Turn the
Rotary encoder
to select a desired track (file).
The selected track is played back immediately.
Note
• Press
in the search mode to cancel. Or, the search mode is cancelled
if no operation is performed for 10 seconds.
Search Position Memory
During playback, you can quickly return to the last-selected hierarchy
level in the search mode.

The hierarchy you selected last in the search mode is displayed.
