Recalling the Stored Equalizer Curve

Press the
EQ
button and select the EQ mode.

Press and hold the
EQ
button for at least 3 seconds.

Press any one of the
Preset buttons (1 through 6)
to
activate your desired curve.

Press the
EQ
button to return to the normal mode.
NOTES
•
EQ mode is automatically cancelled if no buttons
are pressed within 15 seconds.
•
This function is inoperable when DEFEAT is ON(refer to
page 7).
•
When the ALPINE Digital Audio Processor is connected to
the Digital Output Connector, the Equalizer, Crossover, Bass
Focus, Time Correction and MX (Media Xpander) functions
cannot be used in the built-in CD mode.
The functions on the connected Digital Audio Processor side
take preference.
•
If you do not adjust the factory settings of (FLAT/POPS/
ROCK/NEWS), the factory set display (FLAT/POPS/ROCK/
NEWS) is shown preferentially.

Adjusting and Storing the Equalizer
Curve
You can modify the Equalizer settings to create a
response curve more appealing to your personal taste.

Press the
EQ
button and select the EQ mode.

Press and hold the
EQ
button for at least 3 seconds.

Press the
BAND
button to select your desired
frequency band.

Press the

DN
button or the
f
UP
button
to
select your desired frequency.
Adjustable frequency bands: 20Hz to 20KHz(in 1/3
octave steps)

Turn the
Rotary encoder
to adjust the level.

Press the
SOURCE
button to select your desired band
width (Q).
Adjustable band width: 1, 2, 3.
To store the adjusted contents
1) Press and hold any one of the
Preset buttons (1
through 6)
for at least 2 seconds into which you
wish to store the adjusted curve.

For setting another channel, repeat the steps 3 to 6.

After setting, press the
EQ
button to return to the
normal mode.

The frequencies of adjacent bands cannot be adjusted within
4 steps.
•
