When the boiler has been hung in position on the wall
and the remainder of the installation completed, i.e.
flue, all pipework tested and commissioned etc,
position the anti-theft clamp over the boiler back plate
and over the security bolt as shown in Fig. 2.

Fit the shear nut to the bolt and gradually tighten until
it retains the clamp to the wall, see Fig. 3, continue to
tighten until the nut shears off the cone.

Notes:

i.

Access to the shear nut is from the front
of the boiler, see Fig. 4, using a 19 mm
socket.

ii. Do not tighten the shear nut until the

whole system has been completed, as
once the bolt is fitted, the boiler can only
be removed by drilling out the bolt with a
hardened drill until the cone falls away.

Before leaving site, stick the warning label supplied
to the outer casing of the boiler.
