5.3. WORKING DEPTH
The depth working adjustment P of the machine is determinate by
the position of the levelling roller in
relation to the lower edge of the blades.
The greater the difference P between the blades and the lower part
of the levelling roller, the greater the
working depth.
We suggest to starting always with one minimum working depth and
then to increase it progressively until
the required working depth is reached.
In case of deep cultivation and in the presence of heavy soil
conditions it is advisable to remove the side fins.
The adjustment of the working depth may be either mechanical or hydraulic.
5.3.1. MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE WORKING DEPTH
Decrease of the working depth:
1. Lower the roller to the ground, thereby removing the load from the small block
A
2. Remove the small supporting block A and position it in the next hole in the
direction of the harrow
3. Lift the machine until the plates C rest against the supporting small block A
4. Insert the small block B into the hole closest to the plates C.
Increase of the working depth :
1. Lift the roller, thereby removing the load from the small block B
2. Remove the small supporting block B and position it in the next hole
in the direction of the harrow.
3. Lower the machine to the ground until the plates C rest against the
small supporting block B
4. Insert the small block A into the hole closest to the plates C.
The asymmetric hole of the small supporting blocks A and B allow them to be turned upside down, so that it is possible to obtain
intermediate adjustments.
Check the sticker on the perforated arms for the correct assembly of the small supporting blocks.
No space is to remain between the small blocks
A and B.
This would allow sudden jolts, which would cause
break downs.
