Gatekeeper Registration Logic
This Appendix describes the gatekeeper registration process of the
AT-VP504E FXO.
No Gatekeeper
Registration
When the Gatekeeper field is equal to No gatekeeper (direct call) (see
“Setting up Gatekeeper Information” on page 34 ), the
AT-VP504E FXO does not send a gatekeeper registration request.
The value of the Retry time field is useless.
Messages
Exchanged
This section defines the messages exchanged between a
AT-VP504E FXO and a gatekeeper.
When a AT-VP504E FXO wants to register with a gatekeeper:
The AT-VP504E FXO sends a registration request
message to the gatekeeper.
If the gatekeeper accepts the registration request from
the AT-VP504E FXO, it replies with a registration
confirm message.
If the gatekeeper refuses the registration request from
the AT-VP504E FXO, it replies with a registration reject
message.
When a gatekeeper wants to terminate the registration of a
AT-VP504E FXO:
The gatekeeper sends an unregistration request
message to the AT-VP504E FXO.
If the AT-VP504E FXO accepts the unregistration
request from the gatekeeper, it replies with an
unregistration confirm message.
If the AT-VP504E FXO refuses the unregistration request
from the gatekeeper, it replies with an unregistration
reject message.
When a AT-VP504E FXO is registered and the AT-VP504E FXO
wishes to make a call:
The AT-VP504E FXO sends an admission request
message to the gatekeeper.
The AT-VP504E FXO asks the gatekeeper the permission to
make a call.
