INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
3. Devices may now be plugged into the outlet strip located on the rear of the cart.
To maintain Medical Grade requirements, install provided outlet covers in unused
outlets (North American domestic carts only).
Note:
It is recommended that the cart be plugged in and charging when not in use.
The power system is equipped with a smart power supply that will prevent the
battery from being overcharged when plugged in for extended periods of time.
Beeper Volume
The beeper has three volume settings: LOUD, SOFT, or OFF. The default setting is
SOFT.
The beeper volume control is located on the power supply in the drawer.
• Loud = DIP switches 2 & 3 in UP position
• Soft = Dip Switch 2 in UP position, DIP Switch 3 in DOWN position
• Off = DIP switches 2 & 3 in DOWN position
Electrical Input:
100 VAC to 240 VAC, 5.4 - 2.1 A, 50 Hz / 60 Hz
Electrical Output:
Loads up to a maximum of 150 VA or 150 Watts; 120 VAC,
60 Hz
Note:
Total device power requirements must not exceed 150 W.
When first plugged in the system will be in Standby Mode and not be sending power to the outlet
strip.To enable power, press the “MODE” button for 2 seconds until the runtime minutes changes
to 999.
The power system has three operating modes:
1. Standby Mode
(When plugged into a live AC outlet)
This is the mode when a unit is first plugged into the wall receptacle. Denoted by
flashing
AC
input icon
and 0 minutes runtime shown.
• Unit is charging the battery only; AC output is OFF
• There is no power being sent to the outlet strip.
To turn system off, unplug from AC outlet.
To
enable power
(Charge Mode), press and hold Mode button for 2 seconds.
2. Charge Mode
(When plugged into a live AC outlet)
This is the mode that provides power and is activated from Standby Mode by holding
the Mode button for 2 seconds.
Denoted by a
solid
AC input icon
and 999 minutes runtime shown.
• Unit is charging the battery and AC Output is ON
• Power is now being sent to the outlet strip.
To
disable power
(Standby Mode), press and hold Mode button for 2 seconds.
To turn system off, disable power then unplug from AC outlet.
3. Battery Mode
(When cart is
not
plugged into a live AC outlet)
This mode is switched to automatically from Charge Mode, when the cart is unplugged
from a live AC outlet.
Denoted by the
absence
of the AC input icon and the estimated runtime in minutes is
shown (i.e. will be a number other than 0 or 999).
• This occurs when the unit is ON, but not plugged into a [live] AC outlet.
• The battery is not being charged.
• When battery capacity is less than 10%, the alarm will beep (if sound set to soft or
