Clean and Inspect

 

NOTE

 

: Use the repair kit for replacement

parts. Make sure all the components are
included in the kit before discarding used
parts.

  1. Clean all metal parts in a modified petroleum-based 

solvent. The solvent should be environmentally safe.
• Make sure to remove the old sealant from the 

threads of all components.

  2. Inspect all parts for wear and/or damage.

• Replace as necessary.

  3. Remove any burrs from the Main Shaft as required.

 

Assembly

 

Prior to assembly, lubricate the following with multi-

purpose lithium grease. The:

• top and bottom surfaces of Power Spring (

• surface of Sheave Assembly (

) that contacts the 

Power Spring

• Main Shaft (

)

• bearing surface in the Sheave Assembly
• Bearing in Spring Case and Ratchet Assembly (

Lubricate O-Rings (

 

 

and

) with silicone grease.

Sheave Assembly

 

  1. Position Sheave Assembly (

) with studs upward.

  2. Install Main Shaft (

) [grooves upward] into the 

Sheave Assembly.

Follow procedures 18-27 in the section entitled 

 

Remove and Replace Spring Arbor and Power Spring

 

.

 

Medium-Pressure Swivel Assembly

 

  3. Install the complete Swivel assembly to the Main 

Shaft and the material hose.
• Apply a high quality thread sealant or Teflon tape 

to the male threads of the Swivel Assembly.

• Tighten the connection securely.

 

Base Assembly

 

  4. Install Latch Pawl Assembly (

inside of Base Assembly (

  5. Install Latch Stud Nut (

) that secures the Latch 

Pawl Assembly to the Base Assembly.
