Troubleshooting
Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so,
follow the instructions in the following table.
If it is still not possible to resolve the problem with the cordless drill, contact the after
sales support. Do not in any case attempt to repair the cordless drill yourself.
Problem Possible cause Solution
1. The cordless
drill cannot be
started.
The rechargeable
battery does not have
enough power.
Recharge the rechargeable
battery (see chapter “Charging the
rechargeable battery”).
The rechargeable
battery has not been
inserted properly.
Push the rechargeable battery into
the cordless drill until it locks into
place.
Right-handed/
left-handed rotation
selector is in the
middle position.
Push the right-handed or
left-handed rotation selector 5
all the way in.
2. The rechargea-
ble battery does
not charge.
The rechargeable
battery has not been
inserted properly.
Push the rechargeable battery
into the charger 10 so that the
contacts of the rechargeable
battery extend into the charger.
The rechargeable battery must
lock into the charger.
The mains plug has not
been inserted properly.
Check to make sure that the mains
plug is properly seated.
The socket has no
power.
Check the socket by connecting
another device.
The rechargeable
battery or the charger
is defective.
Contact the after sales support.
