Risk of short circuit!
Water that has penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.
− Do not immerse the cordless drill and the accessories in water.
− Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the housing.
1. Before cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
2. Let the cordless drill and the charger

cool off completely.
3. Push the battery release button

of the rechargeable battery

and pull the
rechargeable battery out.
4. Wipe the housing of the cordless drill and the charger off with a clean, damp cloth.
Make sure that no water penetrates the housing.
5. Clean the contacts of the rechargeable battery and the cordless drill with a dry,
clean cloth.
6. Then dry the cordless drill thoroughly and let it dry completely for a while.
You do not have to lubricate the cordless drill.
7. Remove drill dust and any wood chips from the quick-action drill chuck

8. Keep the connection contacts of the charger, the cordless drill and the
rechargeable battery clean.
The cordless drill is now completely clean.
Storage and transport

Risk of damage!
Improper storage or transport of the cordless drill could damage
the cordless drill.
− Store and transport the cordless drill in a clean, dry and
frost-free area where it and the rechargeable battery are
protected against direct sunlight. Always use the enclosed
storage case to store and transport the cordless drill and the
accessories. Other storage locations and transport possibilities
will not sufficiently protect the cordless drill, the accessories and
especially the contacts.
