Detach the 8550 WSG from the slide rails.

B.4

Replacing the power supply

Use this procedure to replace a faulty power supply.

Procedure B-3 To replace the power supply

Remove the faulty power supply.

Swing open the cable management arm at the rear of the
8550 WSG.

Remove the faulty power cord from the 8550 WSG.

iii

Slide out the faulty power supply unit from its bay.

Warning —

To reduce the risk of personal injury or equipment damage,

ensure that the rack is adequately stabilized before extending the
8550 WSG from the rack.

Warning 1 —

Ensure you are properly grounded. See the mandatory

requirements chapter for the recommended grounding methods to
prevent electrostatic discharge.

Warning 2 —

To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the

equipment, do not connect the power cord to the power supply until
the power supply is installed.
