4.2.6. Operation in 20 or 24 bit mode
The DAT3000C01 can process audio streams of 20 or 24 bits, and this selection can be
set for both the audio inputs and the outputs.
4.2.7. Operation in doubled sampling frequency mode
The DAT3000C01 can function with AES/EBU signals that carry a monophonic signal
at twice the sampling frequency. This means that the module can convert the
frequency or delay those signals in which channels A and B carry consecutive samples
of a monophonic channel.
The DAT3000C01 can operate with streams sampled at twice the frequency at the
input and then output a signal converted into a dual stream or a stereo stream at the
normal sampling frequency. The module can also upconvert, meaning that it can take
in a dual signal or stereo signal on an input stream and convert that stream into two
outputs at twice the sampling frequency. The output of each section delivers each of
the channels received: Channel A in Section 1 and Channel B in Section 2. The
following table shows the distribution of the channels that are obtained for the
different combinations of doubled sampling frequency at the input and output. Keep
in mind that the input of Section 2 is not used when a doubled sampling frequency is
needed at the output only, and that if a doubled sampling frequency is needed only at
the input, then the outputs of the two sections contain the same signal.

NOTA: A(n) represents the sample in Channel A at the instant 'n' and A(n+1)
represents the next sample of Channel A - meaning at the instant 'n+1'. The
same is true for Channel B.
The DAT3000C01 comes from the factory with doubled sampling frequency mode
disabled for both the input and the output, corresponding to the ''NO, NO'' mode in
the table.
