3.3 ABC Connectors and Harnesses
3.3.1 The ABC buss supplies the voltages (B1 and B2) and FAI control to
compatible accessory boards. B1 is supplied through pins 5 and 6 while B2, if used,
is supplied through pins 7 and 8 of each connector. By using the appropriate
cables, one or two independent voltage sources can be connected to the FAIM.
Note: The voltage on Buss B1 MUST be 12V or higher
3.3.2 When using ONLY terminal strip output(s)
3.3.2.1 Only a connection to the B1 Buss is required. If the B2 buss is used for
a different supply voltage, it may pass through the FAIM (J2
MUST
be in the
bottom position).
3.3.3 When connecting FAIM output to B2
3.3.3.1 When J2 is in the top position, the connection to B1 is the INPUT to the
FAIM and B2 is the OUTPUT from the FAIM.
No other voltage source can be
connected to the B2 buss. (Failure to comply with this requirement may result in
damage to the supplies or connected equipment.)
