3. Check the correct electrode gap with a feeler
gauge.
Note:
The electrode gap of the spark plug
should be 0.6 mm – 0.8 mm.
4. Reinsert the spark plug and tighten with a
socket wrench.
Ignition spark control
WARNING! Risk of injury from electric
shock.
Checking the ignition spark with the spark
plug removed may result in serious injury from
electric shock and fire.

Never check the ignition spark function with
the spark plug removed. Use an ignition
spark tester instead.

Cleaning the engine
WARNING! Danger of explosion and fire.
Foreign objects on the engine can cause the
lawnmower to catch fire. Fire can lead to serious
injuries.
■
Remove combustible debris (e.g. grass,
leaves, grease) from the engine, especially
from the exhaust and cylinder area.
■
Check and clean the exhaust and cylinder ar-
ea regularly.
IMPORTANT! Danger from water.
Penetrat-
ing water (ignition system, carburettor...) can lead
to malfunctions.
■
Do not spray the engine with water.
1. Allow the engine to cool before cleaning.
2. Remove the contamination regularly from the
engine with a cleaning cloth or brush.
3. Blow-off all waste and dirt residues from the
silencer and its cover using compressed air.
4. Clean the cooling system:
■
Remove obstructions from cooling air
openings.
■
In order to prevent overheating, also
clean the internal cooling vanes and sur-
faces.
5. Wipe plastic parts with a damp sponge and
detergent.

Carburettor settings
NOTE
The carburettor must only be adjust-
ed by an authorised service workshop.

Maintenance schedule
The following jobs are allowed to be carried out
by the user independently. All other maintenance,
service and repair work must be carried out in an
authorised service workshop.
In addition, please also comply with the recom-
mended annual lubrication tasks as indicated in
the lubrication plan.
NOTE
Shorter maintenance intervals than
those stated in the table below may be necessary
in case of severe loading and high temperatures.
