CAUTION! Danger of lacerations.
Danger
of lacerations when reaching into the running
mower mechanism.
■
Only adjust the cutting height when the motor
is switched off and the mower mechanism is
stationary.
1. Press the release lever (07/1) outwards
slightly (07/a) and hold it.
■
For short grass, push the lever towards
the front wheel (07/b).
■
For longer grass, push the lever towards
the rear wheel (07/b).
2. Release the lever until it engages at the re-
quired level.

Starting and stopping the motor (08)
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the ap-
pliance.
The engine and blade system can be
damaged by consecutively switching on and off
briefly several times.
■
Only switch the engine on when the mower
mechanism has stopped.
Starting the engine
1. Press the start button (08/1) and hold (08/a).
2. Pull the operator presence control (08/2) to-
wards the handlebar (08/3) (08/b). Start the
engine and mower mechanism.
3. Release the start button (08/1) and hold the
operator presence control (08/2).
NOTE
The operator presence control does
not lock in place. Hold it tight against the handle-
bar during the entire working period.
Stopping the engine
1. Release the operator presence control (08/2).
It automatically moves to its initial position.
The engine stops immediately. Wait for the mow-
er mechanism to come to a standstill.
CAUTION! Danger of lacerations.
There is
a danger of lacerations when reaching into the
mower mechanism while it is running on.
■
Wait until the mower mechanism has
stopped.
6.3
Mowing with grass catcher (09, 10)
The appliance can be operated with and without
a grass catcher.
Hooking in the grass catcher
1. Stop the motor see
chapter 6.2 "Starting and
stopping the motor (08)", page 32
2. Raise the impact flap (09/1) (09/a).
3. Hook in (09/b) the grass catcher (09/2).
4. Release the impact flap.
Checking the fill level (10)
The fill level indicator (10/1) is pressed upwards
by the air stream when mowing (10/a). If the
grass collector is full, the fill level indicator makes
contact with the box (10/b). The grass catcher
must be emptied.
Unhooking and emptying the grass catcher

Only remove the grass catcher when the
mower mechanism has stopped.
NOTE
When emptying the grass catcher,
also clean the discharge holes of the fill level indi-
cator so that it continues to function properly.

2. Raise the impact flap (09/1).
3. Lift the grass catcher (09/2) out and remove
to the rear.
4. Empty the grass catcher.
5. Clean the discharge holes beneath the fill
level indicator.
6. Hook in the grass catcher (see above).

Starting and stopping the wheel drive

NOTE
The wheel drive can only be started
with the motor running.
Switching on the wheel drive
1. Switch on the appliance and start the motor.
2. Press the engagement bar for the wheel
drive (11/1) against the handlebar (11/2) and
hold (11/a). The engagement bar for the
wheel drive does not engage.
Stopping the wheel drive
1. Release the engagement bar for the wheel
drive (11/1) (11/b). It automatically moves to
its initial position.
