16.25 Delete Clip: <Clip name appears here>
This parameter can be used to delete a selected clip from the media.
These are the options:
•
KEEP CURRENT CLIP
(default) – No action is taken.
• DELETE (Prompt verification) – Begins the deletion of the selected clip.
Before performing the deletion of a specific clip:
1. In the default user interface mode, rotate the User Interface Control Knob to browse
through the clips on the Pak media.
2. When you find the clip you want to delete, press the Stop Button.
3. Press the MEDIA menu button, navigate to the 16.25 Delete Current Clip.
4. Press in on the User Interface Control Knob, select “Delete” and press in on the knob
again.
5. Follow the prompt information to delete the clip.
NOTE:
After you have deleted a clip using this method, the media will be put into “play pause” mode.
This allows you to easily review other takes or clips that you may wish to delete. If you do not
wish to delete any additional clips or takes, simply depress the stop button to return to the
E-to-E/record standby mode.
17.0 Preset Reel Name
This parameter determines the reel name associated with all clips generated while using
this setting.
These are the options:
• 001 to 999 – Select a value between 001 to 999
The reel name is a number between 001 and 999. It is historically linked to the naming
conventions used for film and tape-based media.
The Preset Reel Name parameter may also be used to determine the name of the media
as it will appear when mounted on a computer as a volume if the value is set and media is
formatted using the Format Media menu parameter.
17.1 Camera Name
This parameter defines a letter designation for recordings when using the 17.7
Combined Name menu parameter.
• A to Z – Selects a value between A and Z
NOTE:
The Camera Name is not part of a clip name unless the 17.7 Combined Name menu
parameter is enabled.
