50.0 LAN Settings
This parameter determines whether subsequent LAN settings are displayed in the user
interface.
These are the options:
•
Display
(default) – Displays the various LAN settings of the device
• Hide – Hides the various LAN settings of the device to simplify the menu interface
NOTE:
Menu parameters 50.1 through 50.4 and 50.6 do not appear if “Hide” is selected.
50.1 IP Config
This parameter determines the type of TCP/IP network configuration used by CION.
These are the options:
•
DHCP
(default) – Select automatic IP address assignment from DHCP server on LAN
Note that this value cannot be edited.
• Static Address – Assign a static IP address manually
Menu parameters 50.2, 50.3, and 50.4 will have to be entered to accomplish this.
• Default Address – Use the factory default static IP address: 10.65.74.65
NOTE:
If you change the Static IP address of the CION camera, you may need to power cycle the CION
so that the host computer correctly identifies the new IP address.
50.2 IP Address
This parameter determines the static IP address used by CION for TCP/IP networking.
Variable:
Using the User Interface Control Knob, enter an IP address compatible with your LAN.
For menu parameters 50.2, 50.3, and 50.4, you will be setting IP addresses that consist of
“octets” separated by a period (i.e., 10.0.181.0).
To edit these values:
1. Press in on the User Interface Control Knob and then rotate the knob until the desired
number is reached.
2. Push in on the knob again to select the number.
3. Continue this process until an “Accept” prompt appears. If you want the value you
have entered, press in on the User Interface Control Knob.
If it is not what you want, rotate the User Interface Control Knob and the “Reject”
prompt will appear. Push in on the knob to reject the value and begin editing the
values again.
50.3 Subnet Mask
This parameter determines the subnet mask used by CION for TCP/IP networking.
Variable:
Using the User Interface Control Knob, enter a subnet mask compatible with your LAN.
50.4 Static Gateway
Variable:
Using the User Interface Control Knob, enter a gateway value compatible with your LAN.
NOTE:
Without a properly configured default gateway (whether you have a router/gateway or not),
CION will be unable to see other CION units on the network, although you may still be able to
control CION via a web browser.
