6.5.4 Check Insulation resistance
[Every 4 months or every 500 hours]
IMPORTANT...------------------
• Insulation resistance should be regularly checked or measured with a 500V insulation resistance meter.
If it is reduced to lower than 1 M Q , it could cause an electrical leakage or a fire.
• For recovery or improvement of insulation resistance, wipe and clean dust and dirt around output
terminals, circuit breaker, generator body outlet port and receptacle and dry them.
Even if it carries out the above disposal, when you do not recover, contact us directly or our
distributors.
<Procedure> <Megger tester required>
CD Remove the load side cable from the output terminal
board.

®Remove the grounding terminal from output terminal
plate "N' and "GROUND", out of the grounding position
of the unit.

Bonnet
@Loosen the ground terminal mounting bolts of the unit
(M6), please remove the ground terminal.
© Remove the A VR connector" l'' inside the generator control
panel.

@Switch ON the three-phase breaker "2" , measure each
insulation resistance between the terminals LL L2. L3

@If insulation resistance value measured is found more
than lM Q, it is good.
(I)After checking and confirming that insulation resistance is proper, return to the same
position as it was connected to the same position as it was connected. the grounding
terminal which comes from
"N'
and "GROUND

• After making sure that the insulation resistance of the generator is higher than 1 M Q, be sure to
re-connect the cable between the terminal "N" and terminal "Ground" just as it was originally
connected. If it is left disconnected, the grounding becomes imperfect so that it could cause electric shock.
