How does he fly:
The VOLT3 is outstanding stable which
results also in an increased top-speed.
We guess the top-end speed is one of
the best in this category. The speed-
system is very effective and easy to
push.
The handling has got a better
responsiveness
– the glider reacts more
direct to pilot inputs. This gives you even
more the feeling for control. It also gives
you an easier feeling and is more
relaxing in thermals.
We kept the outstanding climbing
characteristics for which the volt2 was
said for.
Of course, the performance increased as
well. The polar has become flatter which
makes you fly further and faster in xc-
flights or comps.
Construction:
The VOLT3 is a complete new
construction. Only the number of cells
are the same. The VOLT3 benefits from
the design work from the Rise3 and
Hero. As a result, you can expect the
same or similar feeling under the wing when swapping between these gliders.
New Generation Airfoil: Design cues taken from the HERO provide excellent performance,
stability, climbing in thermals, high top-end speed and an overall comfortable flying
characteristic.
Winglet design: We’ve introduced a wing let profile shape to the tips – similar to modern
airplanes. By applying this design feature, it enlarges the projected aspect ratio, improves
performance and enhances directional stability.
Inner Construction: The internal construction has been newly concepted and optimized. This
supports weight reduction and increases positive flying characteristics. It is widely known that
internal design construction has a large part to play in the overall characteristics of the glider.
Gliders Weight:
The VOLT3 comes only in one version which is similar light like the previous superlight version
but with a durable material mix. Like this you get the best package in one
– light-weight and
durable.
Functional Risers:
As well we simplified the riser-system and added a fully working C-riser control. In this system
the B-risers are affected as well
– giving you the most similar function like you know it from a
2-line glider only.
