To mount the smoke alarm, proceed as follows:
• Use the screws to fix the base plate in the place chosen.
Pay attention to the figure above (Fig.4 - Fig.8).
• Gently tighten the alarm onto the base plate.
• Mount the alarm in the centre of the ceiling of the room.
• Do not mount the alarm in a place which is difficult to reach.
• The smoke alarm may not be painted.

1. General
This is an optical smoke alarm. It’s designed for detecting
smoke in the air, while not for sensing heat, gas or flame. If
the smoke alarm is properly mounted and maintained, it
will be activated at the very start. The smoke alarm is
designed to detect smoke, it can not prevent a fire. Please
read the instruction manual carefully before you use this
smoke alarm.
The “device” hereinafter stands for “smoke alarm device”.

Unscrew the bottom cover, remove the small magnet,
the power is switched on (Fig. 3).
CAUTION: built-in Lithium battery of product can not be
replaced. Standby time is 10 years at normal use condition.
The device is energized and working if it’s with LED indicator
flashing and continuous Beep alarm sound by pressing the
Test/Hush button.
Note: If the product is energized, put the small magnet back
in place to switch into power off. (If there is no LED lights
flashing and successive “Beep” alarm signal given when long
press the Test/Hush button, it indicates the device is power
off.)

6. Mounting
The smoke alarm should be mounted in the following places:
• at least one in each room
• one on each floor, if the floor is too long,
there shall be mounted two or more smoke alarms
• in the hallway, in the staircase
• in the living room
• in each bedroom
• in the storage room or spaces with electric equipment.
The alarm may not be mounted in the following places:
• a room in which the temperature can drop
below 0 °C or rise above +50 °C
• in damp rooms
• in front of doors or windows
• near a ventilator or radiator.
Attention:
1. No matter mode of standby or alarm, press the
“Test/Hush” button, the device enters hush mode.
LED indicator light flashes once every 10 seconds.
Hold the “Test/Hush” button until acoustic alarm
signal is emitted, the device exits the hush mode.
2. When the device is in standby mode or hush mode,
please pay close attention to the LED flashing time
interval, if LED flashing once every 10 seconds,
it’s in hush mode, while if LED flashing once every
344 seconds, it’s in standby mode.
3. On hush mode, the device gives normal alarm when
the smoke concentration in the ambience is more
than 4 times of alarming value.

8. Precautions for use
• Test weekly
• Do not paint
• Not use this device in dusty or smoky ambience.
• Both designed device lifetime and battery standby time
(including test weekly) is 10 years. The battery service
time decreases if frequent alarm or long time alarm.
• This device is not a device for fire rescue or fire
prevention, but an alarm to warn escape or notify fireman
when there is a fire accident with smoke arisen. Hence it’s
necessary to take precautions against fire, allocating like
extinguisher, emergency ladders and fire blanket.
• The user with hearing disorder can’t make aware of
audible alarm when this device is used, so we
recommend this kind of users wireless or wired
interconnected smoke alarm with flash light indication.
• WE can never be made liable for loss and / or damage of
whatever nature, including incidental and / or didn't use
it according to the instruction and/ or consequential loss,
arising from the fact that the signal from the smoke alarm
did not sound during smoke or fire.

When the device is alarming or on standby, pressing the
“Test/Hush” button once, it goes to hush mode; Hold the
“Test/Hush” button until acoustic alarm signal is emitted,
the device exits the hush mode.
Placing a smoke alarm is a part of your fire protection, just
as fire extinguishers, emergency ladders/ropes, but also
your choice in the use of building materials for renovation.
Always ensure that there is an evacuation plan, discuss this
with your children. Ensure that each room can be left
without opening the door, e.g. by the window. If there is
any question as to the cause of an alarm, it should be
assumed that the alarm is due to an actual fire and the
dwelling evacuated immediately.

7. Functionality
7.1 This device is capable of self-regulating to long term
drift of photoelectric chamber to ensure long-time
stability of device.
7.2 Standby mode (fig.10)
The device goes to

7.3 Test (fig.11)
The “Test/Hush” button is long pressed till the device
gives audible alarm continuously “beep” and visible
alarm LED blinking when the test is going on.
When the “Test/Hush” button is released, the audible and
visible alarm stops, meanwhile the device goes to hush
mode. Repeat the above steps to exit Hush mode.

7.4 Hush mode (fig. 12)
1. In the standby mode, press the “Test/Hush” button,
the device enters hush mode.
2. In the state of alarm, press the “Test/Hush” button,
the device enters hush mode.
3. The whole process of the hush mode lasts for 9
minutes.
4. In the hush mode, hold the “Test/Hush” button until
acoustic alarm signal is emitted, the device exits the
hush mode and returns to standby mode.
