ELECTRA-flo G5 Transmitter Thermal Airflow & Temperature Measurement System 1015-3 - 07/18
8
ON/OFF Switch:
There is an ON/OFF switch located in the lower left hand corner of the front cover of
this transmitter. Briefly press the switch once to turn on. Press and hold the switch to turn off. If power
fails while the transmitter is ON, it will restart automatically.
!
WARNING
The ELECTRA-flo G5 transmitter is a low voltage device (24V AC/DC). Connecting the
transmitter to high voltage power (e.g. 110 VAC) may cause damage and will void the
warranty.
Power Connections:
Terminal J4, pin 1 for Line (L +), pin 2 for Neutral (N -) and pin 3 for Ground (G).
See figure below for details. The ELECTRA-flo G5 can be powered by either 20-28VAC 50/60 Hz or
20-40VDC.
!
CAUTION
The earth ground is required on all ELECTRA-flo G5 transmitter installations. Omitting
the connection to earth ground could result in poor performance and may void the
warranty.
Analog Outputs:
Terminal J1; AO1 pins 1 (+) and 2 (COM); AO2 pins 3 (+) and 4 (COM). See figure
below for details. Both Analog Outputs and the Network connections have isolation from the input
power. Defeating the isolation is not recommended.
Network Connections:
Terminal J2; RS485 BACnet or MODBUS. Pins 1 (D+) and 2 (D-) are for the
RS485 signal. Pin 3 (G) is RS485 common. Pin 4 is for the shield. See figure below for details.
Alarm Connections:
Terminal J3; Single pole, double throw relay. Pin 1 (NO) is the normally open
contact, Pin 2 (C) is common and Pin 3 (NC) is the normally closed contact. Contact ratings: maximum
switching voltage, 220VDC or 250VAC, maximum carrying current 2A.
