SNMP Settings
This screen allows you to configure SNMP parameters including the system name, the location and
contact information. Additionally, you can configure the WLA-5000AP to send SNMP Traps to re-
mote SNMP management stations. Traps are unsolicited alert messages that WLA-5000AP sends to
remote management stations.
System Name:
A name that you assign to your WLA-5000AP. It is an alphanumeric string of up to
30 characters.
System Location:
Description of where your WLA-5000AP is physically located. It is an alphanu-
meric string of up to 60 characters.
System Contact:
Contact information for the system administrator responsible for managing your
WLA-5000AP. It is an alphanumeric string of up to 60 characters.
Community String For Read:
If you intend the router to be managed from a remote SNMP man-
agement station, you need to configure a read-only “community string” for read-only operation. The
community string is an alphanumeric string of up to 15 characters.
