Caution: Do not switch the recorder off or disconnect the power cable during the upgrade, the upgrade will
fail and you might not be able to restore the privious version of firmware.
5.9.7.2 Restoring Factory Settings
Choose to restore factory settings, press Play (17) to restore the original volume, display and other settings.
5.9.7.3 Formating the hard drive
PVR P8131 support format function to format the built-in hard drive formatted and both partitions.
Follow the steps to format the hard drive:
1) Choose the hard drive you wish to format, press Play (17) and answer "Yes"to "Format the hard disk?»
pop up message, press Play (17) when the pop-up message " This will Delete all the data on your hard drive,
press "Yes" to continue »
2) Wait while hard drive is being formated
3) After 10-15 seconds the pop up message "hard drive formating has been completed, restart", restart the
recorder.
