Here you can set up the USB connection settings. The recorder can be connected to USB port of Personal
Computer as well as other USB storage devices.
Under USB settings PVR P813l provides two options: Slave mode is used to connect to computers and Host
mode to connect to other USB storage devices.
Use up/down keys (13/14) to change the current option, press Exit (19) to exit USB settings menu, confirm
the pop-up message to save your selection.
The interface is shown below:
5.9.7 System Settings
Under system settings you can upgrade the systems, restore factory default settings, perform the hard drive
format operation, check the software version and hard drives information. Use up/down buttons (13/14) to
change the current option, the lef /right (15/16) buttons to change parameters, press Exit (19) to exit settings
menu, confirm the pop-up message to save your selection.
5.9.7.1 Firmware upgrade
PVR P8131 supports firmware upgrades, you can download the latest firmware from manufacturer's website
and use it to enhance the recorder.
Follow the steps to perform the firmware upgrade:
1) Change the file name of downloaded firmware upgrade to DPMP.bin;
(To rename the file right click the mouse on the downloaded file, select Rename option, and change the file
name to DPMP.bin)
2) make sure that the downloaded firmware version is higher then the one currently installed on your
recorder and copy the file to recorder's hard drive
3) in the Main menu select Settings and access the system set up interface;
4) Choose System Ugrade and press Play (17), when the "Update System» message pops up choose" Yes
"and press Play (17), when the pop up message" This will delete the originalfrmware, press "Yes to continue
»" "choose "Yes" and press Play (17)
5) wait while firmare upgrading is performed.
6) in about 10 seconds "the update was successful" message pops up; the upgrade is completed, switch the
power off and restart the recorder.
