13. INDIVIDUAL/GROUP PAGER ID’s
Each Pager can have an individual code so the user can be notified direct from a Maxpage Terminal plus
group codes so they can be notified of alarm calls in their zone direct from the Nursecall system.

The pagers in each ward have individual codes so they can be called individually from the Maxpage
Terminal, e.g. to call pager 1 in ward 1 you would call 0000101. Both pagers in ward 1 also have an ID
0000100 so if a call was made to that number both pagers would be notified, similarly with both pagers in
ward 2 with ID 0000200. If an emergency call is made to ID 0000161 then all 4 pagers would be notified.
The Touchsafe Pro Nursecall system can be setup with different call types to different Pager ID’s on a per
zone basis – refer to the Astra Transmitter/Maxpage Terminal manuals.
14. MANUAL PROGRAMMING
J25 Pagers are factory programmed with ID1: ON 1234567 , this can be changed and ID’s 2 ‐ 6 can be set
following the procedure below;
Remove the battery from the Pager, press and hold the READ key and re ‐ insert the battery.
Keep the READ key pressed until MNL PROGRAM is displayed on the screen then release.
Press the READ key and the display will change to [0000] with the first zero flashing.
You need to Enter 0200; press the READ key until the second digit flashes.
Press the

key twice to display a 2 then press the READ key twice to enter programming mode.
Press the READ key again and ID1 will be displayed e.g. ID1 ON 1234567
Press the READ key until the required digit flashes then use the

key until the display shows the
required number, press the READ key to enter and repeat for each digit.
Repeat to enter ID2 to ID6 codes. Note: unused ID’s should be set as OFF (displayed “OF” on screen).
After setting ID6, set the BAUD rate to 512
Then set the FRE (Frequency) to 459.2750
When the display shows PROGRAM YES? Press the READ key for Yes or the ESCAPE key for No.
The display will blank – the Pager has now returned to normal mode in the off condition.
Press and hold the READ key for 2 seconds – the Pager will beep 4 times and display Aid Call .
Perform a test to check the Pager is operating as required.
