i) Replace with qualified lubricating oil.
4. There is abnormal sound in air compressor.
a) Connecting rod bearing and bushing, or main
bearing is worn seriously or damaged, and bolt
on connecting rod is loose, which causes clash.
b) Too loose belt, drive and driven pulley having
inconsistent groove type causes skidding with
scream.
c) Oil supply does not follow operation of air
compressor, which causes dry friction on metal
surface with scream.
d) Fixing bolt gets loose.
e) Fixing nut on gear gets loose causing too
large clearance with knock.
f) There is foreign matter on top of piston.
a) Check and replace the connecting rod bearing
and bushing, main shaft bearing; tighten the bolt on
connecting rod.
b) Check and replace the drive or driven pulley and
adjust the belt tensity.
c) Check and replace the broken, clogged inlet pipe
for lubricating oil.
d) Check and tighten the fixing bolt.
e) Tighten the loose nut on gear, replace the
malfunctioned gear.
f) Clear away the foreign matter.
5. Oil leaks from air compressor.
a) Oil seal falls off or has defect causing
leakage.
b) Main shaft is loose causing leakage at oil
a) Check and replace the oil seal with cracks, split
or flanging at inner lip, scratch or defect on junction
face; check and guarantee free oil turn.
b) Replace the bearing shell and the oil seal.
