4 Commissioning and Operation

Mowing
Check the function of the safety circuit. See page 20.
- Start the machine only when the safety circuit is working!
Wear hearing protection, safety goggles, and
solid shoes.
Start the engine as described under "Commis-
sioning"
Set speed regulating lever (A/3, B/3) to max.
Switch on the mower drive
1. Press locking bar
2. Pull the clutch lever (A/1) towards the handle:
Pull the lever slowly two-thirds of the way through
the stroke so that the mower rotor has enough
time to start rotating and the engine is not
stopped. When the mower rotor is started, the V-
belt may slip and produce associated noise.
After the mower rotor is set in motion, pull the
clutch lever fully against the handle.
Switch on the travel drive - Pull the clutch lever
(A/2) towards the handle
When turning or reversing the mower, it is
not necessary to disengage the mower drive so
that the energy of the rotating rotor is not wasted
unnecessarily.
