Speed Control Lever,
Engine Shut-off Switch
The speed control lever (A/18) on the steering han-
dle serves to control engine speed steplessly, to
set the CHOKE and to stop the engine. For posi-
tions see fig. C.

The speed control lever also serves as an
emergency shut-off. In an emergency, move
the lever to position “STOP” to shut off the engine
fast.
Clutch
The machine is fitted with a ball clutch. This is ac-
tuated via the clutch hand lever (A/19).

If the coupling hand lever is pressed down a
power connection between the engine and the
hoeing tools is created and the hoeing tools begin
to turn.

If the coupling lever is not depressed it is disen-
gaged, i. e. the engine does not drive the hoeing
tools.

The coupling lever forms, at the same time, a
safety circuit which mut be operated in two stages:
1. Flip locking ratchet upwards (release)
2. Push safety lever downwards.
The hoeing tools begin to turn
immediately.
When the coupling lever is released the coupling
is automatically disengaged and the hoeing tools
come to a standstill (safety circuit).
Gearbox
The power hoe is equipped with a worm gear with
1 forward speed.
