Preventing ESD Damage with A15 Diode Limiter

Service Note

86100C-04

Description

86100C instruments built after June 1, 2006, include the A15 Diode Limiter. Adding A15 to the
input of A14 improves reliability, because the A14 Counter Assembly on 86100C Option 001
instruments is susceptible to electrical overstress through the front-panel Trigger port. Add A15
only in situations where A14 has been damaged through electrical overstress.

Install on 86100C instruments having the following serial numbers:
