Laser aperture locations
WARNING
Laser Hazard
Avoid exposure – laser light may be emitted from this aperture. The laser
light could cause retinal (eye) damage if prolonged direct viewing occurs.
This is a Class 2 laser product. It is not powerful enough to harm your skin
should your hand intercept it.
The optical design of the 600 Series spectrometer and the 610 FTIR
microscope normally precludes this. Always wear appropriate safety
equipment and clothing.

Other precautions
Infrared sources operate at high temperatures, which may burn you.
Before replacing a source element that has been lit, switch off the
instrument and ensure that the source has adequately cooled.
