demagnetize

distance

CR

demagnetized.
Generally
,
degaussing
is
accomplished
with
a
slow
rotary
motion
of
the
degausser,
moving
it
in
a
circle
of
increasing
radius
while
simultaneously
moving
a
w
a
y
from
the
CR
T.
Caution
Applying
an
excessiv
ely
strong
magnetic
eld
to
the
CR
T
face
can
destroy
the
CR
T.
Lik
e
most
displays,
the
CR
T
can
b e
sensitive
to
large
magnetic
elds
generated
from
unshielded
motors.
In
coun
tries
that
use
50
Hz,
some
10
Hz
jitter
may
b e
observ
ed.
If
this
problem
is
observ
ed,
remov
e
the
device
causing
the
magnetic
eld.

calibration

terms

signal

tify
system

and

degradation.
Error
term
comparisons
are

made
with
data
generated

dically

y
the
same
system

calibration
kit
(the
kit
normally
used

analyzer).

generating
error
terms

the

installation
