Replacing Major Assemblies
Top Module Cover Removal/Replacement
To Remove Top Module Cover
1 Remove bumper kit (M1)
2 Turn the driver over with bottom facing up
3 Loosen captive screws with T20 Torx bit
4 Turn the driver over with top facing up
5 Gently, lift top clamshell (M2)
6 Disconnect:
• 8- pin cable (M6) from J5 connector on motherboard
• Line module cables (green/blue/brown) from power supply
module

Now you can remove the top module cover
To Replace Top Module Cover
1 Hold top clamshell (M2) near the driver
2 Connect:
• 8- pin cable (M6) from J5 connector on motherboard
• Line module cables (green/blue/brown) from power supply
module

Gently, place and secure the top clamshell (M2) onto the bottom
clamshell (M3)
4 Turn the driver over with bottom facing up
5 Tighten captive screws using 21 in- lbs torque driver/wrench with
T20 Torx bit

Fix bumper kit (M1) onto driver, as needed

Captive screws are torqued with 21 in-lbs.
