The table details the maintenance operations of each component showing the type of check
and frequency of inspections. The frequency is indicative and depends on operating condi-
tions and environment in which the heat recovery unit operates.

ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
Any cleaning procedure is forbidden before
disconnecting the unit from the power sup-
ply.
Check for the absence of voltage before pro-
ceeding.
Periodic maintenance is fundamental to
keep the unit in perfect efficiency both func-
tionally and for energy.
It is fundamental to provide annual checks.
16.1. MECHANICAL CHECKS
Check:
• The state of the structure
If any oxidised parts are found, treat with
paint designed to eliminate or reduce the ef-
fects of oxidation.
• Filter cleaning
The cleaning of the filters is fundamental to
maintain a high standard of air quality in the
space. The synthetic filters mounted in the
unit can be cleaned with a jet of compressed
air or they can be cleaned in cold water.
To remove the filters follow these instruc-
tions:
- remove the inspection panels
- withdraw the filters
- carry out filter cleaning
- refit all components in reverse order.
• Cleaning the condensate tray
Dirt can accumulate in the condensate drain
tray. It is recommended to regularly clean
the tray and check for clogging of the dis-
charge tube.
To clean the condensate drain tray of the
heat recovery unit follow these instruc-
tions:
- remove the inspection panels
- carry out tray cleaning
- refit all components in reverse order.
•
Heat exchanger cleaning
WARNING!
To remove the heat exchanger
use only the strap as shown in the diagram.
Cleaning of the heat exchanger is with a vac-
uum cleaner. Do not use water or chemical
agents.
To
remove the heat exchanger follow these
instructions:
- remove the inspection panels
- remove the heat exchanger from its mount
using only the strap as shown in the diagram
- carry out heat exchanger cleaning
- refit all components in reverse order.
• Plasmacluster
The Plasmacluster ioniser filter does not re-
quire cleaning or routine maintenance, so it
must not be removed.
