Note: Refer to your hard drive’s manual to determine the pins
of the SCSI ID connector.
7. Connect the power cable of the cooling fan.
8. Connect the power cable of the hard drive.
9. Connect the SCSI flat data cable. Align the colored edge of the cable
with pin 1 of the connector.
10. Place the hard drive in the cartridge.
11. Install the mounting screws on each side to secure the drive in the
cartridge.
12. Replace the cover. The cables must be properly placed inside the
cartridge - away from the edge of the cartridge. This is to prevent the
cables from being pressed when you replace the cover. Make sure
the cover snaps into place, otherwise you will not be able to insert
the rack into the slot.
13. Slide the cartridge into a slot until it clicks into place. The mobile
rack’s power LED (lower LED) will immediately turn red.
14. Insert the key (included in your package) into the keylock located on
the right of the mobile rack and turn it counterclockwise. This will
lock the mobile rack to the subsystem providing data security. If you
are replacing a new hard drive, make sure to unlock it by turning the
key clockwise.
