Run Self-test
This menu selection is used to execute an internal self-test. This is
the same self-test that is performed automatically at power up. The
results of the self-tests are displayed in the LCD. Upon invoking the
command, the LCD displays
INITIALIZING
and test failures are
displayed in the LCD window (see Figure 7-6). The following
board-level tests are performed during self-test.

On-board data path; sending a known test pattern through an
on-board loop

Front panel LED verification

Phase lock loop verify
If a failure is detected, note the failure number and contact
ADTRAN Technical Support.
Executing self-test disrupts normal data flow and prevents remote
communication until the self-test is completed (approximately 15
seconds).
