Introduction
The Express-TL is a COM Express® COM.0 R3.0 Basic Size Type 6 module based on the Intel® Xeon®, 11th Generation Intel® Core™, and Intel®
Celeron® 6000 processors (formerly “Tiger Lake-H”) with up to 8 cores (16 threads) at maximum 4.7GHz boost frequency, features a brand new Intel®
Iris® Xe high performance graphics core, and supports AVX512-VNNI (Vector Neural Network Instructions) that almost triples AI inferencing
performance. Typical industries in need of such high performance, low power characteristics are industrial automation and control, medical ultra sound,
image processing and analysis, high speed video encoding and streaming, predictive traffic analysis, and multi camera-based AI.
The Express-TL has up to four SODIMM sockets supporting up to 128GB (4x 32GB) of DDR4 memory. Memory frequency is up to 3200 MT/s dependent
on configuration. Modules equipped with the Intel® Xeon® processor and Intel® RM590E Chipset support both ECC and non-ECC SODIMMs.
The integrated Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics(Gen12) includes features such as OpenGL 4.5, DirectX 12, OpenCL 2.1/2.0/1.2, Intel® Clear Video HD
Technology, and DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) support for full H.265/HEVC 10-bit, VP9 hardware codecs. In addition, High Dynamic Range is
supported for enhanced picture color and quality, and digital content protection has been upgraded to HDCP 2.3. Graphics outputs include LVDS and
three DDI ports supporting HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort and eDP/VGA as a build option, with a maximum of four 4K displays supported. In addition, USB4
that can transfer media and data through single tunnel is a build option supported by project basis in place of DDI 1/2. The Express-TL is specifically
designed for customers with high-performance processing graphics requirements who want to outsource the custom core logic of their systems for
reduced development time. In addition to the onboard integrated graphics, a multiplexed PCIe x16 Gen4 graphics bus is available for discrete graphics
expansion.
Input/output features include up to eight PCIe Gen3 lanes that can be used for NVMe SSD, allowing application access to the highest speed storage
solutions, as well as a single onboard 2.5Gigabit Ethernet port with optional Time Sensitive Network (TSN), four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports,
and two SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Optional onboard PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD is offered by project basis. Support is provided for SMBus and I
2
C. The module is
equipped with SPI AMI EFI BIOS with CMOS backup, supporting embedded features such as remote console, hardware monitor, and watchdog timer.
