Flat Par TW5 Primary-Secondary Configuration
Primary-Secondary Operation: This function will allow you to link units together, with one unit act-
ing as the controlling unit and the others reacting to the behavior of the controlling unit. Any unit can
act as a Primary or as a Secondary, but only one unit in a given system can be programmed to act
as the Primary.
1. Using approved DMX data cables, daisy chain your units together via the XLR connectors on the
rear of the units. Remember the Male XLR connector is the input and the Female XLR connec-
tor is the output. The first unit in the chain (primary) will use the female XLR connector only, while
the last unit in the chain will use the male XLR connector only. For longer cable runs, it is strongly
recommended to use a teminator on the last fixture.
2. Set the Primary unit to the desired mode of operation.
3. For the Secondary unit(s), press the MODE button until “SECd” is displayed. The Secondary
unit(s) will now follow the Primary.
