Removing and Installing Components
Port Bypass Circuit Removal and Installation
The Port Bypass Circuits are located in the rear of the RAIDstation7 Fibre Chan-
nel Storage Array.
CAUTION: Before removing a Port Bypass Circuit, ensure that all I/O activ-
ity to the Storage Array has stopped.
Removing a Port Bypass Circuit
1.
Loosen the two panel fasteners on the port bypass circuit.
2.
Using the handle, slowly pull the card out of the disk shelf.
Installing a Port Bypass Circuit
1.
Insert the Port Bypass Circuit module into the relevant slot in the rear of the
shelf.
2.
Press the module firmly into place ensuring a good connection is made
between the Port Bypass Circuit and the backplane.
3.
Align the two panel fasteners on the card with the screw holes on the rear of
the shelf.
4.
Tighten the panel fasteners.
