Changing the Cinema Reference’s Audio Input for a DVD with only an Optical Output
If you are using a DVD player which only has an optical digital audio output, you will need to use an
optical TOS-Link type cable to connect the laser disc to Optical #2 on the Cinema Reference. Then
follow these steps.
1
Turn the Input knob to DVD PLAYER 3 and press the knob.
2
Turn the Mode knob clockwise to SETUP MODE and press the knob.
3
Turn the Mode knob to AUDIO INPUT and press the knob. Once the knob is pressed the
display will read “DIGITAL IN 3”.
4
Turn the mode knob until the display reads either OPTICAL IN 3 and press the knob.
You have now altered the DVD PLAYER 3 input to access Optical Input 3.
