INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT
Boilers must be installed by an approved engineer,
in accordance with current local standards and
regulations.
■
BOILER ROOM
◆
ACCESSIBILITY
The boiler room must be large enough to allow proper access to the
boiler. The following minimum distances (mm) around the boiler are
required:
- at the front
500
- at the sides
100
- at the rear
150
- above
700
◆
VENTILATION
The boiler room must be fitted with top and bottom vents as shown
in illustration L.

BALANCED FLUE CONNECTION

CHIMNEY CONNECTION TYPE
ALFA F:
B 23 - class 1
ALFA FV:
C 13: concentric horizontal connection
C 33: concentric vertical connection
IMPORTANT
Due to the high efficiency of our boilers, the flue
gasses come at low temperature.
Accordingly, there risk that the flue gasses could
condense, which could domage the chimney. In order
to avoid this risk, it is strongly recommended to line
the chimney.
Please contact your installer for more information on
this.

•
ACV hydraulic kit
(see illustration F)
ACV offers an optional pre-assembled hydraulic kit comprising:
- A circulator.
- A motorised 3-way manual valve.
- Connecting pipes including an optional second circuit.
- Two isolation valves.
- Connectors for mounting the safety valve with pressure
gauge and the filling valve to the right or left of the expansion tank.
The expansion tank is not included.
•
Discharge
The drain cock and safety valve must be connected to the waste
water disposal system.
◆
DOMESTIC HOT WATER CONNECTION
•
Pressure reducer
If the water mains pressure is greater than 6 bar, a pressure reducer
calibrated at least 4.5 bar must be fitted.
•
Safety unit
The tank safety unit must be ACV approved and calibrated to 7 bar.
The valve discharge must be connected to the waste water disposal
system.
To comply with British Building regulations an unvented system must
be fitted with a temperature and pressure relief valve. Please consult
your ACV agent for an unvented package.

BASE
The boiler must be laid on a base made of non-combustible materials.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Keep vents free at all times.
• Do not store any inflammable products in the boiler
room.
• Take care not to store any corrosive products, such
as paints, solvents, chlorine, salt, soap and other
cleaning products, near the boiler.
■
CONNECTIONS
◆
CHIMNEY CONNECTION
(boiler types: B23) (see illustration L)
The boiler can be connected to a suitable flue or should be
connected to the chimney by a metal pipe rising at an angle from the
boiler to the chimney.
It must be easily removable in order to give access to the flue pipes
when servicing the boiler.
A draught regulator must be installed on the chimney in order to
stabilise negative pressure.
