with an iris-type guide arm system, the ring may be
swinging about by several inches. If so, allow the ring to
settle until it is nearly still before engaging the latch
barrels with the latches.
3.3.2
All three latch flags will rotate 45
°
and the torque
limiter will disengage. Release the switch to “OFF”.
The device is cocked and ready to latch. (See Figure
24)
3.3.3
Turn the switch to “REV” and then release to
“OFF” as soon as the latch flags rotate perpendicular to
the ring. (See Figure 25)
3.3.4
Unwind the winch just enough to remove tension
from the winch cable.
CAUTION
Do not uncoil slack in the winch cable that could foul
the cable when tightened.
3.3.5
Turn off the circuit breaker.
3.3.6
Disconnect the circuit breaker cord from the drive
motor and connect it to the main power cord.
3.3.7
Store the remote control cord in the pole.
3.3.8
Turn on the circuit breaker.
3.3.9
Install the hand hole cover.
