INDICATIONS FOR USE
WARNING
The Transtek Body Fat Analyzer measures weight and uses bio-electrical impedance analysis
(BIA) technology to estimate body fat, total body water percentage, bone mass, and muscle
mass in generally healthy children 10-17 years old and healthy adults.
It is intended for use in the domestic setting only.
a. Remove the battery if the ME EQUIPMENT is not likely to be used for some time.
b. The device requires no calibration.
c. The device contains no user repairable or serviceable parts.
d. The user must check that the equipment functions safely and see that it is in prop
er working condition before being used.
e. The manufacturer does not require such preventive inspections by other persons.
f. No modification of this equipment is allowed.
g. Disposal Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste,
use separate collection facilities. Contact you local government for information
regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of
in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get
into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being.
h. The device is not suitable for use in the presence of flammable anesthetic
mixtures with air or with oxygen or nitrous oxide.
i. Keep the device out of reach of infants, children or pets, since inhalation or
swallowing of small parts (e.g. carpet feet, batteries) can be dangerous or even
fatal.
