A1.5 Operation
MiniDOS is a self priming pump, drawing water from a tap primes the pump which doesn’t require
electrical power supply; the operation is automatically activated by the water flow. Dosage of
AcquaSIL 20/40
®
is proportional to water flow for withdrawals between the minimum and peak flow
rates (see paragraph A1.7). In case of flow rates below the minimum the pump does not operate; in
case of flow rates exceeding the peak value the concentration of AcquaSIL 20/40
®
in water is
reduced. Therefore, the overdosage of AcquaSIL 20/40
®
is not possible. Low levels of AcquaSIL
20/40
®
in the tank is not signaled by any automatic device but it is visible from the tank level. Check
it periodically. When the level drops below the minimum please refill the tank. Dry running may cause
a temporary blockage of the pump (see paragraph A3) and lack of protection against scale and
corrosion.
A1.6 What’s AcquaSIL 20/40®
AcquaSIL 20/40
®
is a ready-to-use (do not dilute) aqueous solution of food grade sodium
polyphosphate E452(i) which prevents scale and corrosion.
Anti-scaling effect: interference with scale crystallization hindering the formation of deposits.
Anti-corrosive effect: formation of a protective layer on metal surfaces which does not interfere with
heat exchange but it is effective in protecting from corrosion.
AcquaSIL 20/40
®
is available in 250 g disposable bags packaged in packs of 4 bags (cod. PC200)
or in 1 kg bottles (cod. PC002).
Keep AcquaSIL 20/40
®
in a clean place, away from direct sun and heat sources, room temperature
ranging from 5°C and 35 °C. Keep out of the reach of children. AcquaSIL 20/40
®
is not classified as
