Installing the top cover

Perform the pre-installation instructions described on page 24.

Install the top cover. 

(1) Place the top cover on the chassis so that the tabs on the cover 

align with the slots on the chassis.

(2) Slide the top cover toward the front of the chassis until it is 

fully closed. 

Removing and installing the air duct

Caution!

 Always operate your server with the air duct installed to 

ensure reliable and continued operation. 

You need to remove the air duct to perform the following procedures:
