Chapter 5

SATA Connectors

The main board features four SATA connectors to support four drives. SATA refers to Serial ATA
(Advanced Technology Attachment) is the standard interface for the IDE hard drives which are
currently used in most PCs. These connectors are well designed and will only fit in one
orientation.

NOTE:

This main board does NOT support the

Hot-Plug

function.

FDD: Floppy Disk Drive Connector

This connector supports the provided floppy drive ribbon cable. The FDD connector is used to
connect the FDD cable while the other end of the cable connects to the FDD drive.
