CAUSE
The computer
displays a down-
load-related error
message and the
Accu-Chek
Compact
™
meter
is turned off or the
download symbols
do not appear.
The blood sugar result may be
below the low end of the meter’s
reading range.
a. An error occurred while data
was being downloaded.
b. A bright light source is too
close to the download cable
or the meter.
c. Positioning and distance from
the infrared (IR) cable is not
correct.
d. A computer software error
occurred.
The meter is defective.

a. Download the data again and ensure that the meter
is in download mode before initiating the software (see
page 82,
Transferring Data
).
b. Move the light source.
c. Move the two units to within four inches (10 cm).
Make sure the two IR transmission windows are
correctly positioned.
d. Read the manual for the download software and
check that it is correctly installed.
