Testing your blood glucose

The date and time are preset. To check this, turn
the meter on and confirm the settings using the
on/off button. Use the arrow buttons if the settings
need to change. Turn the meter off.

Make sure the meter is
turned off. Insert the
code chip into the side
of the meter until it
clicks into place.

Make sure the code
number on the display
matches the code
number on the test
strip container.

Insert a test strip into the meter 
in the direction of the arrow. 
The meter will turn on
automatically. A test strip and
flashing blood drop symbol will
then appear on the display. 
The meter is now ready.

The result appears on the display.

Use the Multiclix finger pricker
to get a blood sample (see over).

Touch the blood drop to the
front edge of the yellow window
of the test strip. When there is
sufficient blood on the test strip
to get a reading an hourglass
will flash in the display.
