The cabinet connection methods:
Step 1. Find out pin 1 of 40-pin IDE connector on IDE hard disk.
Step 2. Find out a color line of the internal IDE ribbon cable indicating pin
1 of connector.
Step 3. Connect the internal IDE cable to
IDE
hard disk aligning with pin-
1 to pin-1.
Step 4. Connect 4-pin power cable to IDE harddisk.
2.4 AHARD RAID 66 cable & power installation
Before you connect
AHARD RAID
board to your device, recognize the
different interface connectors of SCSI and IDE on the board. The longer
connector on external circuit board, which has 68 pins, is the SCSI
connector. Inside the cabinet, there is IDE ribbon cable connection.
Please note this connector will be connected to
IDE
harddisk.
