tab.
Select the camera where the schedule should be defined. The
overview graphic shows the recording time and type for the se-
lected camera.
There are three recording modes for each camera:
Stream 1
for continuous recording
Stream 2
for event recording
Stream 3
for network access
Each stream type can be configured individually as shown in the
following steps.
Stream Type:
Select whether both video and audio or video only
should be recorded or transmitted.
Resolution:
Select the image resolution here.
4CIF
has the high-
est resolution and
QCIF
the lowest.
Video Quality:
The more crosses are selected, the better the
video quality.
Frame Rate:
The frame rate depends on the resolution. The
higher the frame rate and resolution, the greater the recorded or
transmitted data quantity.
BitRate Type / Max. BitRate (Kbps)
: These settings are used primarily in stream
3. If the
Variable
bit rate type is selected, then the bit rate varies according to the
image. If
Constant
is set, then transmission is made exclusively with the set bit
rate. This may have a negative effect on image quality. A lower bit rate is generated
when a sequence of similar images is recorded, whilst a higher bit rate is gener-
ated when a sequence of different images is recorded.
